The first day of the convention welcoming:
Before the program started: lots of singing original songs and dancing…8am…most of you guys are sound asleep…7 hour difference where I live. And this went on for an hour…The love and joy I have experience have been encouraging. We may not speak each language at all or very well, but we all speak the pure language, and we all know how to show love…while this world is falling apart….stay close to Jehovah. There’s no other way.
We had the privilege of having Brothers Flodin and Lett travel to Albania to give talks. Brother Flodin mentioned the countries that were in attendance.: Argentina, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Kazakhstan, USA, North Macedonia, Armenia, Georgia (there’s a country I’m missing) .There are 6 other countries that are here but under restrictions and because of that, they were not named.
For the morning attendance: Albanians 4,780; English 2,718; Romany 74; Albanian Sign Language 66. Total of 7,638
Brother Lett mentioned how long of a flight it was for him to come to Albania but what kept him going was Holy Spirit and caffeine😂…then he said in that order.😂
He also mentioned that his wife is no longer able to travel with him. She has been battling alzheimer for 13 years. She still has her sense of humor though. He shared a story with us about her. He mentioned that she goes for walks when she’s able to and likes to pass out candy. If she meets someone, she will ask if they are married or single. If married, she gives the person two pieces of candy and if the person is single, one piece. Well one day, she met someone who was growing a “wanna be beard”…looked a cheerio trying to be a bagel or a Brussels sprout trying to be a cabbage.😂 He told her that he was single and she told him that if he kept that beard, he would stay single.😂
For the afternoon attendance was 7,914
